Getting a little side tracked on top of my Uni work.. This is a brief amount of development on an idea that’s been stick in my head for a few weeks now. Its basically an animated music video to the song “Back to Black” by Amy Winehouse. The video will demonstrate the narrative of a a female hamster getting dumped by its owner. She sings how she misses her owner, and all the attention she doesn’t receive from him anymore.

I can imagine scenes of her singing in the cage, while her owner gradually looses interest in her. Also, visualise scenes where the hamster is remembering their past relationship, reminiscing all the good times they had.

(Maybe the owner has ditched the hamster for a new cat “you go back to her”, meaning the cat. Anyway, I could end with the cat eating the hamster.

As part of my university work we had been given a brief: creating an animation for BBC Radio 4- More Than Words Festival. This is a unique experience of shows and workshops taken place in Bristol. The animation I create illustrates the theme of the festival: “The Art of Listening”.
So I chose my adio track and began animating starting around late January- 20th Feb. (pretty short deadline).
Anyway, this is the development work I produced and pitched to two professional’s of BBC Radio 4.

What a sad, lonely life this person has.. either that or they can’t afford to go out anymore.
